Administrative section
This section strives to establish norms and regulate professional standards above desirable levels in accordance with the vision and mission of the IPTA®. The administrative section has six subsections with chairpersons for each together with five IPTA® members as under.

Academic Section of IPTA- Member Associations on Physical Therapy Education around the World: Responsibilities of Subsections:

IPTA® Ethical Committee Chairperson- will frame the respective codes of ethics; will work collectively with his five IPTA® Ethical Committee Members for approving IPTA® Institutional Ethical Committees in IPTA® recognized institutes.

IPTA® Inspection Wing Chairperson- will conduct IPTA® Inspection Wing’s inspections for institutions together with his five IPTA® Inspection Wing Members.

IPTA® Public/ Patient/ Student/ Physio Grievance Cell Chairperson- will maintain a register of grievance and/or complaints to plan suitable action under respective sections and/or subsections, together with his five IPTA® Public/ Patient/ Student/ Physio Grievance Cell Members.

IPTA® Member Personal/ Professional Development Section Chairperson- will plan, co-ordinate with his five IPTA® Member Personal/ Professional Development Section Members and conduct activities like workshops of personality development, communication skills, Basic Life Support, Trauma Life Support courses for the IPTA® Members.

IPTA® Public Relations Cell Chairperson- will organize with his five IPTA® Public Relations Cell members and thus communicate the efforts of the IPTA® and its members to the public to improve public-professional rapport through mass media such as Television, Radio, Telephone, Internet, Cinema, Stage Events, Press Releases.

IPTA® Legislation/ Legal Action Cell Chairperson- will maintain the course of action with his five IPTA® Public Relations Cell members; related to professional malpractice organizations, unethical or illegal practice patterns, in relation to the grievance cell’s operations, for legal action like issuing notice, filing petitions etc in accordance with the Indian Constitution and Laws of the Land.

Responsibilities of IPTA® Administrative Subsections’ Members:

There are five members each for each of the above subsections. They may co-ordinate and co-operate with their respective Chairpersons and initiate plan of action through the IPTA® zonal representatives in various parts of the country.

International issues however are routed on to the respective physical therapy associations of those countries by IPTA® International Representative Committee Chairpersons in each country, after taking the decision to do so by involving five IPTA® International members under the deciding authority.

Note: All the above positions are open for IPTA® Life Members as on 10.09.2008. IPTA® Members can opt for these positions stating their interest and their vision along with their membership application form. Already existing members can mail to admin@indiapt.org with their resumes for the same.
